Kasper De Vos in the collection of Middelheim Museum

01.03.2023 — Ongoing

The artwork 'A cast of a thought' – by casting the thought in bronze it became fixed – is poetry materialized, reminiscent of Mallarmé or his artistic heir Broodthaers. The sculptures and installations of Kasper De Vos (°1988) refer in both a humorous and sculptural way to consumerism and the food culture that is associated with it. His artworks seem to stem from a kind of tactile and visual pleasure, a play of formal and substantive associations that leave us wondering and dreaming.

Artwork acquired by the Flemish Community.
