William Ludwig Lutgens creates first film production with the support of Kunstplaats Vonk

Autumn 2024

In the work Joy Sauce, William Ludwig Lutgens explores the state of the modern workers, today’s entrepreneurs and achievement-oriented individuals — their own masters and slaves. Navigating a world of excessive positivity and productivity, the characters appear as burnouts, a zombified species that have lost the will to be themselves in an auto-exploited, overachieving, ‘nothing is impossible’ society. The film reflects on humanity waging war on itself, struggling to find meaningful social and physical connections in the realm of the real.

William Ludwig Lutgens will present the work in Autumn 2024.
