'Affiniteiten' (Affinities) is an annual exhibition project about artist couples who live together but do not work together. With this series, LLS Paleis aims to look at Belgian art through the prism of love-standem and explore and show artistic resonances. The exhibition attempts to answer questions such as: In which works do they experience their artistic encounter most explicitly? Is there an underlying, shared spirit present? What work did they first see of each other? Are there points of contact of a formal or substantive nature? In each case, are they the first viewers of each other's work?
