Daan Couzijn at 'Dwaalkruis' in Bunde (NL)

"A hike with an exhibition as finish point at an old monastery barn with all the experiences of that walk in your “backpack.”

That’s what you can expect during the exhibition Dwaalkruis in Bunde. The Butterfly House Foundation, run by Stefan Cools and Sandra van den Beuken, has been operating for years at the intersection of nature and art.

From the Dutch article:

Art created with AI

The works of the artists are displayed on the walls of the monastery barn. One striking piece is Pro Gratisa Recepta by Daan Couzijn, which was created with the help of artificial intelligence. “It’s a sort of icon, a beautiful painting with a broad wooden frame. In the painting, you see several miracles performed by Elisabeth of Thuringia, the patron saint of the order to which the adjacent monastery belongs. The artist used AI to generate an image based on these miracles, and what you often see are small mistakes in the AI-generated result. The artist left these mistakes in, but in the end, he painted the image himself.”
