Kembra Pfahler

Kembra Pfahler (°1961, USA)
Pfahler is a filmmaker associated with the Cinema of Transgression, a performance artist, a rock musician, and a film actress. She is mostly known as the lead singer of the glam, punk, shock rock band The Voluptuous Horror of Karen Black, and for the often nude and sexual nature of her art exhibits. Pfahler founded a performance art movement known as “Availabilism,” the tenet of which is to use whatever’s around at any given time to create performance -as an expression of some ineffable part of oneself.
